The Great British Care Awards 2026

We are incredibly proud to announce that Activities Lead, Liza Cox is the recipient of another prestigious award, having taken the accolade ‘Southwest Region Winner, for The Care Home Activities Organiser Award.’

This achievement followed Liza’s success earlier this year at the Berkshire Care Awards and saw Liza celebrate with other nominated team members from the Castle House Group at the regional final of the Great British Care Awards in Brighton.

The award, one of the most hotly contested on the night, was very kindly initiated by the team at the Berkshire Care Awards and supported by Home Manager Rachel Stoneman. The nomination took in a rigorous program that culminated in shortlisted candidates being invited to the finalist’s judging day, where Liza was interviewed by independent social care professionals who quizzed her about her role and how she delivers the exceptional activity programs she is renowned for at Bridge House.

In praise of her award, it was apparent the judges were impressed by Liza’s enthusiasm and passion for her role and team. Her extensive experience, ongoing professional development, and commitment to delivering personalised, engaging experiences for residents was met with high praise.

The judging panel also acknowledged the joy and purpose Liza’s programs bring to residents, as well as the immense creativity, energy, and dedication she puts into to her programs, Liza simply enriches daily life for everyone she supports.

Liza will now have to take on the rest of the UK and the National Finals in 2026 – Bridge House will be keeping everything crossed in the meantime.
